I
have a brand new Minifee Lookback Shiwoo head that I had preordered
from DDE. Although I love the sculpt, I actually want it in tan to
replace my modded Tika’s head instead. So I’m looking to do one of 3
things:

1. Sell the BW head for $115 + shipping from US so that I can buy one from DDE in Tan

2. Trade my BW head for your Tan Lookback Shiwoo head (plus $15 from me to make up the price difference)

3. Trade my modded tan SP Tika head with faceup by me for your Tan Lookback Shiwoo head

If you are interested in any of those, let me know!

I think I’m going to start trying to actually post again. I’ll continue posting art/dolls here but I’m also going to attempt to pick up using my reblog-blog @skeevyken for reblogs and more personal posts.

Went to Goodwill for the first time in a while and found this special little one! She’s actually in lovely shape with very clean clothes but she’s had very unfortunate haircut right in the front. I’ve been trying to do some research but it seems like most of the information on these is in out-of-print physical books. She has (very loose) white elastic so I thiiiink she’s from 1970? But I’d like to ask if anyone here is more knowledgable on Sasha dolls.

she hasnt had a hair cut!! the sasha doll bangs just tend to stick up like that after years of play.you can dampen her hair with water and then place a tube sock over her head while it dries and it’ll help flatten them down. it also looks like she’s in her original dress

Hi! Thank you and I see what you mean, the bangs are sticking up in the photo, but she does have all the front rows of her hair cut down to the plug. You can Isee it better here:

I got the cut plugs pulled out tonight so now I’m going to fill in the missing hair. Monique Trading Corp sent me like 4 rings of hair samples with my order on the day they closed and they’re perfect for this job!

Oh my god, is that a No Philtrum Sasha?! What an incredibly lucky find, NP Sashas are incredibly hard to find and sought after (and also adorable!!)

Congrats!!

Thank you! I’ve been trying to figure that out but I honestly can’t tell. She doesn’t really have any definition in the philtrum, it’s just a slightly raised squarish area, and she does look very much like some of the close up pictures on that page, but I really can’t tell the difference in the philtrum-having faces either.. I need to find some sharper photos of them I think. Here she is after a wash.

Hey, let’s play the 1 year ago, 5 years ago, 10 years ago doll photo game

Sounds fun!

9/9/2016: (MOST of my doll photos after I got a smartphone are WIP shots like this)

9/7/2011:

Oldest one I have is 7/6/2007 (only the doll on the right was mine):

Gonna dust this place off, full queue incoming!

I’m going to try to put things in relatively chronological order. I haven’t been drawing much since I started working (around the time I stopped posting here) but I want to put more dolls up here as well.

So, I’ve
been thrifting as a hobby for years and in that time I’ve amassed so much more
doll stuff than I will ever use. It’s gotten to the point that I’m too
overwhelmed to really enjoy the 1/6 stuff, so a lot of it needs to go. It’s all
cool stuff (in my opinion, it’s stuff I’ve kept this long at least) but mostly
of interest to customizer types (as in, not a lot of dressed dolls here), so I thought I’d try offering it directly to
the people who might be interested.

Basically, I
want to put together big “grab bag” boxes on a pay-what-you-want plus
shipping cost system. I’m doing flat rate USPS Priority boxes because these
will probably be heavy anyway, so the cost for a medium box is $14 in the US ($46
international) and the large is $19 ($60 international). I’ll take a lot less
than the stuff is worth to get it to people who might want it, but I can’t
afford to pay to get rid of it, haha.

Here’s the Flickr
album of the stuff that I’m definitely looking to offload, so you can feel free
to stake a claim to specific things that you see. Keep in mind that this is all secondhand stuff; none of it is filthy (I wipe all dolls with disinfecting wipes when I get them) but expect some damages. If you’re worried about the condition of a particular item let me know.

Other than
particular things you see in photos, give me an idea of the kind of stuff you want,
like:

  • Dioramas (I
have a large Priority box with a big bed and spiral staircase that I really
    want to get rid of!)
  • Bratz stuff
  • Mini dolls
  • Vintage
  • Floating heads
  • Articulated
    bodies
  • Disney
  • 1/6 action
    figures
  • Barbie pants
  • 90’s
  • Sparkly stuff
  • Weird dolls
  • etc.

and I’ll do
my best to fill the box with as much of those kinds of things as I can. Just
let me know if you’re interested and we can work something out!
